The CNC Gantry Double-Side Edge milling machine consists of a bed assembly, worktable, gantry assembly, heavy-duty milling power heads, chip removal system, hydraulic system, and control system. The basic components of the machine tool adopt a welded structure. The manufacturing process is as follows: welding → overall annealing for stress relief → Shot Blasting surface treatment → rough machining → vibratory stress relief (secondary) → finish machining. Through these procedures, the components achieve high mechanical and thermal stability. The components feature a thick-walled, multi-rib structure with a compact layout, providing the machine with high rigidity.
This product utilizes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to effectively predict and optimize the static and dynamic performance of the machine tool, ensuring reliable performance and offering excellent cost-effectiveness. Two heavy-duty milling power heads are mounted on the gantry. These power heads use variable frequency geared motors to drive the milling spindles, offering the advantage of high torque at low speeds. The power heads exhibit excellent rigidity, and the milling height can be adjusted via a side handwheel to accommodate workpieces of varying plate thicknesses. Additionally, the side of each heavy-duty milling power head is equipped with a follower pressing roller. When beveling long edges (X-axis direction), this roller presses the workpiece firmly and moves synchronously with the milling power head, ensuring a solid and stable machining area.
The machine features a fixed worktable for convenient loading and unloading of workpieces. Several T-slots are provided on the worktable surface for installing specialized fixtures or directly clamping the workpiece. Movable support beams are arranged on the worktable and connected to it via T-slot bolts. Depending on the dimensions of the workpiece, the support beams can be moved to designated positions to clamp the workpiece before beveling.
